An 0871 number is a Fixed Rate Tariff number and is classified as a controlled premium rate service (PRS), as all 0871 numbers are accompanied by pricing information as well as information regarding call waiting times in order to ensure price transparency and customer protection.

You as a 0871 number holder do not pay anything to receive calls but receive rebate on calls on the call charge where the price per minute is 5 pence or more up to 10 pence, allowing you as the number holder to increase revenue for each called received.
